Millward are pleased to announce their work as engineers on the forthcoming new fire station in Newark.
The £3.1 million build involves Millward Engineering operating as both civil and structural engineers for the prestigious design and build scheme. Work has already started on the 12 month build in which demolition has begun to the side of the Station’s appliance bay to make way for the new station along with new training tower. The new fire station will house two fire engines and technical rescue unit. Construction work is being carried out by The Gelder Group. Nicola Millward, MD of Millward commented ‘This build type is a new sector for us to add to our portfolio and we are thrilled to be working in our home county of Nottinghamshire. We love working in Newark again, having just worked on the Newark Leisure Centre. The plans for the fire station look amazing and we are very proud to be working for the fire fighting emergency service team’.
